Latest News | WILLIAMS F1 CONFERENCE CENTRE RECEIVES INDUSTRY ACCOLADE
08 March 2011, Grove, UK. The Williams F1 Conference Centre has received the Silver award for Best UK Conference Centre at the 2011 Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards ceremony.
Held in London, the M&IT Awards are the conferencing industry's most established awards programme, and significantly the only one with an independently audited and democratic voting process. The Williams F1 Conference Centre was voted to Silver place by corporate event organisers as a leading example of customer service, quality of product and guest satisfaction.
The Williams F1 Conference Centre, based at the Williams F1 team headquarters just outside Oxford, is a highly distinctive venue that encapsulates the compelling draw of Formula One in a first-class conferencing, dining and meeting environment. As well as providing business facilities ranging from a 200-seat lecture theatre to a licensed bar and a shop, the centre hosts one of the foremost private collections of Formula One race cars anywhere in the world, bearing reference to the 16 World Championships won by Williams F1 since 1977.
The facility, which was opened in 2002, has 10 flexible event rooms capable of catering for intimate groups through to large-scale events for 200-plus guests. The facility has full-time kitchens, AV technicians, event planners and managers as well as a first-class service staff.
Upon receiving the award, Adam Parr, Chairman of Williams F1 said, "This is the third successive year that the Williams F1 Conference Centre has reached the finals of the Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards. To be recognised by the industry and awarded Bronze last year and Silver this year by people that use our conference centre demonstrates the high levels of service in all areas on which the team prides itself. Our goal is to win - so next year we'll be aiming for the Gold."
